Circadiant Appoints Peter Vicars to Board of Directors

Brings test equipment and rapid growth expertise to company.

Allentown PA - Circadiant Systems, Inc., the real-world optical testing company, today announced that Peter N. Vicars has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors.  A 37-year veteran of the networking and telecommunications industry, Vicars most recently served as president and CEO of Chantry Networks, a WLAN company recently acquired by Siemens AG (NYSE:SI).

“Peter’s background in communication test equipment and experience with rapidly growing companies makes him a valuable addition to the board,” said My Chung, Circadiant’s president and CEO.  “His guidance will be important as Circadiant’s growth surges with the demand for real-world optical test equipment.”

“Optical communication system and module vendors are realizing the value of lab testing using real-world optical signals as a means of ensuring high quality network performance and vendor interoperability.  Circadiant’s market leadership in this new testing standard positions them well for continued success.  I’m excited to have the opportunity to help them build and grow,” said Vicars.

Before Chantry Networks, Vicars served as president and CEO of Cayman Systems (acquired by Netopia; OTC:NTPA.PK) where he led the company from a fringe player to a leading name in the broadband access market. Vicars was also president and CEO of Teloquent Communications (acquired by Syntellect; TSX:ESL) and Tekelec (NASDAQ:TKLC). At Tekelec Vicars directed all corporate activities of this publicly traded company that at the time specialized in test equipment, including oversight of subsidiaries in Japan, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
